WHAT IS
CHANGING?
Transition to Medi-Cal Fee-for-Service
Starting January 1, 2027, some Partnership members with unsatisfactory immigration status will transition from Partnership-managed Medi-Cal to Medi-Cal Fee-for-Service.
This does not mean your Medi-Cal coverage is ending.
If this change applies to you, the state will manage your Medi-Cal benefits instead of Partnership. You will be able to receive care from providers who accept Medi-Cal Fee-for-Service.
If this new rule applies to you, Medi-Cal will make this change automatically. You do not need to fill out an application or sign-up.

IS MY
MEDI-CAL
CHANGING?
The changes will affect people differently. Partnership coverage will stay the same for some people.
New rules only apply to certain ages, groups, or immigration statuses. Some members may qualify for an exception.
You do not need to figure this out on your own. Partnership, your provider, and your county can help you navigate these changes.
HOW WILL I KNOW?
Watch for notices from Medi-Cal or your county. These notices will tell you about changes that may apply to you and whether you need to take action.
